Beautiful! It's sad that a woman has to practically go into hiding to have the birth that SHE wants.
oh my goodness, yes. it is insane. i guess i cannot comprehend why a mom can abort her child at any time in pregnancy and yet cannot choose where she wants to have the baby...and how. insane. this same child could be "useless" to a mom and be killed....or this same child could be golden and wanted and worth so much that the mom could "take the chance" of a homebirth.
i have a dear friend about to birth her child...secretly as well. i will elaborate more after she does birth, but the whole thing is ridiculous that she cannot legally find a midwife who could care for her. it is crazy.
That was amazing. I am in tears. I think it's ludicrous that she had to go to those lengths but I am so thankful she did.
